Reached quite a milestone for my blog today. Happy about that and it just motivates me to get going with the new thing that's on it's way. I can't wait for you all to see it but it's going to be a long process so be patient!

Tomorrow (almost) no one in Paris will be working and neither was I supposed to but of course I end up with a test so no day off for me. Can't complain, cause it would be so much worse if I had no work, castings and tests going on. As I say: busy is good!

Managed to not only finish but also send some homework I have been shooting up for a long time now. Such a relief! Tonight I'll be sleeping with a clean conscious.

 

Casting, JULES EGGER

WORKOUT

For the past couple of days, whilst being in London, I haven't done any exercise at all (except for the time we went dancing if that counts as something..?)
Anyway, no exercise and excessive eating equals a body that isn't looking exactly the way it's supposed to. But I'm on to that! Walked for one hour today (back and forth from class) and for the rest of the week I have more cardio scheduled. Attending a wedding this weekend and I got a new dress that I'll be wearing so I won't it to fit like a glove by Saturday!

MONDAY

Haven't had any castings today and I must admit it's been nice with a day only dealing with one job before heading to french class in the evening. Tomorrow how ever I have a casting which I'll tell you more about then.

Finished the three month course of beginner French I've been attending twice a week for the past three months. Definitely feel that I've learned a lot and expanded my vocabulary. That being said I'm still far from fluent.. But that's okay! It's a start and it allows me to actually practice speaking with friends, boyfriend, people at work and so on.

Almost forgot to mention.. Went by my agency today to hand in some papers from my last two jobs. Saw the pictures from the test with photographer, Donald J. They turned out really cool and I should get them tomorrow so I'll try to post some of them here if I can. Stay tuned!

BACK IN PARIS

Arrived at Paris, Gare du Nord not long ago and now I'm at home, in my tiny studio all ready to go to sleep. I haven't had any internet connection or wifi this weekend at all so updating have been impossible.As soon as I arrived in France I received all the emails from the last couple of days which was a bit overwealmining but I must say it has been really nice to have a break from emails, facebook and all the other social media. Really enjoyed my weekend and I can't wait to go back to London again, hopefully in about two weeks or so.

Tomorrow is the start of a new and busy week so I better crawl to bed. Goodnight!

LONDON, 1st CLASS

I can not tell you how much I'm looking forward to travel to London tonight! My lovely boyfriend managed to get his hands on some 1st class Eurostar tickets (only like 10 euros price difference) so I will be getting drinks, snacks, dinner and as many Vogue magazines I can carry. yay!!

It's doesn't look very fancy, but it sure seems better than the food they sell in the food wagon.. haha

WEEKEND IN LONDON

As the previous post tells I had a very last minute, very unexpected job today. Now I'm just on my way home to pick up my suitcase and tickets for the train to London tonight!
Leaving quite late but due to the time difference I'll "win" and hour. So looking forward to spending some quality time with my better half. When you live in different countries you really learn to appreciate the time you have together.

Also want to tell you that they are having some problems with the wifi so I wont have access to the internet this weekend.. I'll try and see if I can post from my boyfriends phone, but if not then I will just talk to you all again on Monday morning.

FRED FARID..again!

While being on my way to a casting today I suddenly get a call from my agency asking me if I could go straight to Fred Farid (where I worked last Tuesday night). I had a really good experience when I was there last time so of course I said yes and then I ran to the casting, did it really quick.. or as quick as I could while recivening phone calls from different bookers at Metropolitan. They even called the photographer at one point and asked her to hurry up!
It was for a hair commercial (TV) so they had to film me pretending to do my hair in the morning.. haha

Back to the Fred Farid job..!

Once I got there I was introduced to a tattoo artist and her assistant who will be doing the tattoo for the diesel perfume. Within the next hour I had the most beautiful tattoo all over my back! Not very discrete, but incredibly beautiful. Of course it was just a temporary one so it would wash right off. Wanted to keep it for the weekend, just for fun you know, but they had to remove it. I weren't even allowed to take a picture of it (protection of the design until the commercial launches) which is understandable.
I hope I can get my hands on a picture sooner or later cause I think it will be fun to have once the thing does public for everyone to see.
The girl actually doing the campaign isn't me (unfortunately) but some actress, I think.

FRED FARID

So the job I mentioned in my post before (with the meeting and what not) turned out to be a very simple task to complete!
I showed up, put on a glamorous black dress and then showed it to a bunch of people who where all seated in a meeting room. They talked about how the dress would work for this new commercial they are doing. (diesel perfume..) Had to sit in the posistion the girl will be in on the shoot and then they where observing how the dress looked on and discussing other options.
I ended up trying on four different dresses and then they took picture of them all in between.
It took one hour and then they where done! Piece of cake I would say, and fun as well. It was hard to believe I was actually getting paid to do that... Can't complain! :)

Casting, SYLVIE MALFRAY

Did a casting for Sylvie Malfray this afternoon before my shift at Abercrombie but they where all late so I ended up waiting for quite a long time, together with loads of other models before beginning the casting. Tried on a yellow bikini.. (not exactly my favorite color..) and they took a picture and then I left.

Ones I arrived at Abercrombie I literally just punched in, changed and then received a call from one of the bookers at my agency saying that I had to come by to pick up some papers cause I'm doing a job tonight!

Talk about last minute! I can't quite figure out what I'll be doing but I'll let you all know. She said something about a business meeting and some clothes so we will see. It should take be one (well paid) hour :)

Casting, LA FEÉ MARABOUTÉE

Doing a casting for La Fée Maraboutée early this morning. Just taking my father and sister to the train and from there I'll be on my way by foot (it's really close by.. how convenient) 

Casting, VENTE PRIVÉE

Did a casting for Vente Privée this afternoon. It was just at the edge of zone 3 in Paris (not very central) and I did have a little trouble finding it. But once I did it went just fine!

Tried on a skirt and some shoes and they took a lot of pictures. We are taking body, face, hands, feet, legs and so on..

From what I can understand, Vente Privée is like an online shop selling brand clothes at discount prices. Almost like going to an outlet.. only it's online. In fact it's exactly like Hautelook, if you guys have heard of that.

Test, DONALD J

Met with photographer Donald J. at noon today to do a test. The pictures are only for me to have in my book, but it's really important to have good pictures to show the clients what you look like and what different "looks" you are capable of pulling of. 

We shot for two hours in his apartment and then I met my dad and sister at the Chinese restaurant next door for a quick lunch before running to the next casting.  

A lot of his pictures are like the ones above. black and white and very neutral with a little twist.

Since my little sister is staying at my place for a few days I'm bringing her along. Castings usually don't take long so I'm sure she'll be fine

Casting: FEMME ACTUELLE

Went to do a casting for the cover of Femme Actuelle today. I remember doing a casting for them before, in fact I think it was one of the very first castings I ever did.
Must be rounding up to around 50 castings I have attended by now.. would be fun to keep track of that so I can look back at my time running around in the streets of Paris.

Had a second casting today, for a hairdresser in Paris. Don't have the name so it's hard for me to tell you more about it :)

Casting, Les Jupons de Tess

I'm currently at my first casting which is for Les Jupons de Tess. the photographer is late so I'm just waiting for a bit while checking out their current and previous collections. It's all very feminine and beautiful, the kind of things you would dream to wear everyday!

MY NEW DOMAIN

It's done! The name has been decided upon and the domain is mine for the next year! Really looking forward to see what all of this can turn out to become.
I wont give away the name yet as I want the site to be done and ready for you to visit and enjoy before I make it public.
There is a lot that needs to be done but thankfully I'll be working closely with two professional web-designers.

Next step in the process is for me to browse around on the internet to find out what design, lay-out and features I would like to have on my own site. If you have any good links, be sure to send them my way!

WORKOUT

Today I spent a long time doing research for my new blog so I ended up not having time to go to the gym before my french class. Decided to do what I did last week as well: Walk! 
Walking to class and then back again is a total of 5 km so that has to count as something. It even happened that I bumped in to another student which I'm taking the course with so we had a chat while walking there together which made the "exercise" that much more fun. On my way back it's mainly up hill, more or less all of the time so that adds to the challenge as well.

Tomorrow my father and sister is coming to Paris so I'll have to bring them around the city, by foot of course. Gotta stay in shape! :)

NEW BLOG DESIGN??

Yesterday evening I met with two web designers to discuss what Improvements there can be made on my blog. I've been doing a lot of thinking lately about taking this thing from "just a hobby" kinda casual blog, to something better with more time and energy put into it. I figured if that many people actually can be bothered to come back every day, I might as well give them something good for their time spent. We will see where it all ends up but I'm super excited about this. We where tossing some ideas around and some of them had amazing potential, so we will see where it all ends up!

TO TRAVEL THE WORLD

So as I mentioned yesterday I went to my agency in the afternoon to do a casting/meeting with the guy that's handling all of the girls in Metropolitan, plus a few others, when it comes to traveling. So basically you can, as a model, choose where you would like to go for say one month. It could be for example; Milan or London or even Japan or Korea. If I, or any other model does say, Tokyo, it would be for minimum 8 weeks (two months) because it's so far away and you want to get the most out of your stay. I would love to travel (!) mainly around Europe to begin with since I have my boyfriend in London, but later on the entire world!

However, as it is now, we are only talking about the possibilities but there is in fact an agency in Italy, Milan that has showed interest in me. We will see where I end up going, but it sure is exciting!

TUESDAY

Good morning!

I've had my breakfast while enjoying some danish radio (my favorite thing to do in the morning) and I'll be leaving my studio in about half an hour to go Abercrombie. Have to bring the justification note for not being able to work yesterday, and other than that it should just be a normal day at work.

At 3pm I have a casting at the agency and after that I'll be taking my new polaroids. Have to update my book since I got a new haircut!

I see you have a lot of Makeup Atelier products. Is that your favorite brand?

- It's a good brand but the reason I have so much of it is because I took my MUA education with them. 

What brushes do you like to use? 

- I have a lot from Laura Mercier as well as Mac. 

For how long have you been doing makeup?

- I have been a professional makeup artist for three years now. 

If you had to choose one makeup product, what would it be. 

- mascara! Or an eyelash curler. I think it makes such a difference.

Today I ended up not having time to go to the gym after the shoot for Kitsune since I had french class at 7.30. Instead I decided to walk to class.. and back again, which is a total of 5km. So that has to count as something! :)

First day of spring

After my shift at Abercrombie today I headed to the park with some people from work. Sat and enjoyed the sun, ate strawberries and got to know lots of new people (all Swedish!)
Hopefully we will be getting more of these lovely sunny days sometimes soon.

Think half of Paris decided to go to this park this afternoon. The people you see on the pictures is just a fraction but it gives you an idea.

You basically do your squats everyday according to the schedule and the amount rises for everyday that passes. I got the inspiration to start this when I was reading Sara's blog (youblush).

I know that it's been far to long since I updated my blog and there has been reasons which I might share with you at a later time.

For now all that's important is that I'm in Paris and I'm doing good!
My boyfriend and I had our one year anniversary yesterday. <3

Worked for 10 hours today at Abercrombie and I'm doing a shit tomorrow morning. So no partying for me tonight!

A friend that I met in London is in Paris for the weekend and I'm meeting her tomorrow so that's gonna be great!

Now I'm just gonna hop in the shower to wash my newly cut hair (yes it's a lot shorter this time..) and then I'm off to bed!

PRONUPTIA - DAY 1

Getting my hair done at the moment and after that it's straight on to makeup. Me and the other model will be shooting a total of 17 dresses today so we have a long day ahead of us.

HAMILTON FOR SOON MAGAZINE - DAY 1

We all met up for breakfast at eight and straight after that we took the cars out the location of the shoot which happened to be the home of a very famous female bullfighter. The house, if you could call it that was massive and I wont even begin to try to describe the size of the fields housing all of the bulls and cows.

I started out with undressing and being wrapped in a thick woolly blanket to avoid having marks from the clothes ones the shoot started. The makeup artist gave me a lovely shoulder and neck massage, then manicure, pedicure, body creme and last but not least, a little makeup. Once she was done the hair artist did his work and again I was being pampered. The hair changes during the day from natural to different up-do's involving both flowers and ribbon as you can see on some of the pictures.

We did some normal shooting by a window and outdoors but got to do a shoot running on the edge of a pool with a guy in front of me holding a leaf-blower to create wind. Almost fell in ones!
My favorite one was when I got to shoot with a horse. But not just any horse. A massive and majestic white horse that are used during the bullfights. It was beautiful, in a very intimidating way. Had to stand next to it and then sit and lay on top of it, with my eyes closed at one point!

I couldn't really take pictures at this time but I know that some people from the crew did so I'll try to get them to send me some so that you can see it as well.

After that it started raining so we did one more portrait and then we headed back to the hotel where we had dinner all together.
