THURSDAY

Waking up in the morning was not a pleasant thing and getting out of bed was even worse. I did manage to though and I went to work as usual.
Nothing much to tell you about that really, it was some long five hours but in the end time passed and I could go back home to get some food.
My agent called me to inform me that I have a meeting with a Spanish agency tomorrow but I'll tell you more about that in my next post.

The rest of the afternoon I haven't done much. One of my friends was supposed to come by and then we where gonna go out but she wasn't feeling well so we cancelled the whole thing. It's probably better since I wouldn't have been able to stay long either way since I have to get up early tomorrow.

I talked on the phone with my dad and my little sister in Denmark and after that I called one of my oldest friends and had a long catch-up with her. Good to hear what's going on back home in high school and everything.

Had a salad with some tuna and now I'm going to get ready for bed and skype a little with my boyfriend who is coming tomorrow evening!

No update!

I'm home and I'm tired. The test today lasted a total of 9 hours without a break.
It was extremely challenging, both physically and mentally but now it's done and I sure did have a lot of fun.
As I said there weren't really any time for me to take pictures and update the blog so I apologize for that.
I really hope the pictures will turn out good, and I can't wait to see the finished result!

I didn't get back to my apartment until 9 pm which meant that I weren't able to attend my french class. I will however be going on Friday for a workshop at school so that should be fun!
Need to call them tomorrow to confirm them that I'm coming.

Test: Kevin S

On my way with the photographer, the hair stylist and the stylist to the location outside of Paris.
We are going by car so that's nice and comfortable.
I'll update during the day as we go along so keep checking back in!

Will be wearing these glasses today at the shoot so that'll be fun!

I wanna be that girl

Work out 26/2

I was really unmotivated to go to the gym but I forced myself to go either way. In the end I didn't get much exercise because ones I got to the gym the aqua-fit class that I was planning on attending was full. So I desired to wait. I figured that even after the class I would still have time to swim for more than half an hour before having to get out of the pool.
Being determined to get my swimming done I waiting 45 min for the class to finish and then I went in the pool.
After 15 min of swimming I was told to leave the pool because it was closing at 9pm (the gym in it self closes at 10pm)

To sum it up: a lot of waiting and not a lot of swimming.. But I don't regret going at all because I would have felt bad about just sitting at home, being lazy.

Now I know and I won't make the same mistake again!

Back at Les Petites

I went to a casting for Les Petit not long ago and today they wanted to see me again. Tried on 3 outfits, they took pictures and that's it.
I'm on my way to the second casting now which is in the south west of Paris and after that I'm going back to Abercrombie to do the last hour of my shift, (even though I don't have to..)

On a side note, the sun is shining!

Castings 26 Feb

Today I have two castings to do. One is actually more of a GoSee since I already did the original casting a little while back. It's for Les Petites and I'm really happy with the fact that they want to see me again. If I get the job it will be my first paid one!

Les Petites at 14.30

After that I will be heading out to the second and last casting for today which is between 15.00-17.00

Avantages. If I get this one I will be going to Las Vegas for a week!

Castings 25 Feb

Started with a casting at 12.30 which was manly focusing on hair (as you can see on the picture)

After that I hurried back to Metropolitan to pick up some things before I went to my next appointment which was a GoSee at 14.00 (ended up being almost 30 min late because there had been a mistake with the location I was given) with Kevis S which will possibly be doing a test with me.

Ones that was done I went on to my next casting which was for the cover of Femme Actuelle. at 15.00

My last casting was for Modes et Travaux, at 16.00 If I get this one I get to go to Ibiza for like a week, which would be pretty great!

Finally got back home and I'

SUNDAY

By chance my boyfriend and I ended up having lunch at a French restaurant very close to my apartment.
It was some of the best french food I've ever had, and I will definitely be going there again as well as brining my dad and sister when they are visiting.

There you have my dish which was an amazing "canned duck" with some salad and veggies on the side.

My boyfriends dish, consisting of layers of potatoes, meat, ham and cheese. Roasted in the oven and then drowned in creamy mushroom sauce.

This is defiantly what I'll be having next time I visit!

SATURDAY

We left the apartment early to go to my boyfriends mothers place for lunch.
She is in the process of packing everything she owns and she had accomplished quite a lot since the last time we where there! good for her.
Stayed most of the day and help clear out the basement and then we took the train back to Paris to meet with two of his friends for dinner and drinks.
Went out for a late night crepe (I didn't get one of course) as so many others in Paris, and then we headed back home, tired and full!

picture from the lovely lunch. She always takes into consideration that I don't eat carbs. So lovely!

Visit from London

Last night my boyfriend arrived from London around 10.30 pm and short after we went to a chineese restaurant on the street I live on to have a late dinner.
The food was good but the company even better! It's a shame that what I can have is limited because I love the glased duck (which of course contains sugar as you can probably figure out)

Ended up having a lovely soup with crab meat and aspergus as a starter and my main was a lovely spicy duck in a creamy sauce with vegetables.

Work out 22/2

10  min jogging to warm up
15 min on the cross-trainer

After that I changed into my bathingsuit and did the same "program" as mentioned before:

50 x arms
50 x stomach
50 x arms
50 x legs
50 x legs

and the whole thing twice.

Afterwards I enjoyed almost half an hour in the sauna. So relaxing!

Casting: La Redoute

Tomorrow I'm going to a casting for La Redoute at 10.45 am
When looking for the location I was certain that I must be mistaking but no, it's literally located right across the street from my apartment. Not kidding. I wish I could show you a picture of how close it is but I think it would be unwise for me to post my exact location.. There are a lot of strange people in this city!

Going to the gym first because later tomorrow I will be going to Metropolitan to be measured. I need to be down on 89 cm around my hips and last week I was 90 cm so there is not a lot left.
After that I'll be going to work at Abercrombie until 8 pm and then my boyfriend arrives with the Eurostar from London at 9 pm.

Early spring cleaning

Started on spring cleaning after taking care of most of my french homework. Washed the widows, cleaned the toilet and the shower. Washed the thing (in lack of words) that contains all the plates etc. Cleaned the microwave and vacuum-cleaned. Finished of with the dishes and now I'm in bed, listening to music while enjoying a cup of tea.

Work out 21/02

Todays workout consisted in exercises in the pool at my local gym.

Started out with just swimming a couple of times back and forth to warm up a little and then I did some arm, leg and stomach exercises using some of the equipment the have there.

50 x arms
50 x arms
50 x stomach
50 x legs
10 x swimming

50 x legs
50 x arms
50 x legs
50 x arms
50 x stomach
5 x swimming

50 x stomach
50 x legs
50 x legs

Stretching.

Done!

Les Petites

Meeting with someone from the brand Les Petites today at noon. I recall my booker saying that it was at the agency but I can see that the address she sent me with the rest of the information is a completely different one.
I'll just have to call her around 10 to ask where exactly she wants me to be when the clock strikes 12.
Abercrombie will start filling up in 15 min so I better get down to the associate meeting.

On Sunday we are doing a Harlem shake video, Abercrombie style, so be sure to check that out ones it goes viral!

Body and Soul

So today I went to Metropolitan to meet with the main booker, Pia, from the German agency Body and Soul. (the one I mentioned yesterday)
At first there where some complications because I was missing a piece of paper that she needed, but I just went downstairs and one of the lovely people there fixed one for me.
Everyone is super busy with fashion week coming up so it took a while but eventually I got to sit down with Pia and have a little talk. She asked me some questions, like how old I was, where I was living, who my mother agency where and so on. I tried to just relax and be myself and I think it worked fine as the conversation went well and was very pleasant.
At the very end she took a few pictures and then I left.
I don't know how it works normally but I'm guessing she will be in touch with Metropolitan within short if she is interested.

One month on my own

Today it's exactly one month since I moved in to my very own, first apartment. Can't believe how fast time flies and it most certainly doesn't feel like a month has passed!
Tomorrow I will try to find the time to do an early spring cleaning and then this weekend my boyfriend is visiting and he will be helping me with hanging the pictures on the wall and a few other things. Looking forward to getting even more settled in.

Meeting with German model agency

My agent called me this afternoon at work to tell me that I'm meeting with a German model agency tomorrow at 12.
I can't wait to see what the outcome of this will be! Would love to get to travel around Europe (and the world eventually) with my work.
But Germany is a good place to start. Thought it was located in Berlin at first but after doing some research on the agency I found out that it's in Hamburg. Don't mind it at all, but I'm glad I checked so I'm a little more prepared for tomorrow.

I'll let you know how it goes!

Hamburg. Looks pretty good to me!

Back in Paris

The past couple of days I spent in London and I really enjoyed it! But this morning, to early for my taste, I had to get up and take the Eurostar train back to Paris. Arrived at my apartment in time to have both food and a nap before heading out in the sun. This city is even more amazing around spring time! Can't wait for it to really kick in!

Went to see my agent at Metropolitan to get the latest pictures for my book. So now it's finally filled enough for me to start going to castings!
I'm being measured again on Friday, so I'm definitely hitting the gym as much as I can this week.
Went to work afterwards and managed to punch in one minute to late.. never mind.
Got to be in the fitting room on the ground floor all day so time went by fast(er) despite the fact that I was wearing to small boots most of the time.

After work I went grocery shopping and then home. I feel completely drained right now so I will most certainly enjoy my sleep tonight.
Had a short skype with my boyfriend and now I'm drinking hot milk while waiting for my hair to dry a little after the shower I just had.

V-day gift

Here is what I got from my boyfriend for Valentines.

A teddy bear! <3

A great Sunday

Had such a nice day yesterday!

My boyfriend arrived at the apartment at 8 am and it was so good to see him again. He even got me a little valentines gift that I will post a picture of later.
We then went to buy some breakfast, cherries, a large latte for me and a hot chocolate for him. Had a little chat with one of his roommates while enjoying our lovely breakfast.
Not long after we headed out for lunch. It was actually brunch but around 2 pm. (they do it late over here.) We where accompanied by another couple and even though the food was nice as well as the place, the service was horrible and slow so I doubt we will be going back there anytime soon.

this is just a picture from google but my plate looked exactly like this! :)

After lunch we walked back home but stopped by a Waitrose to get the ingredients for a LCHF cheesecake that I wanted to try to make. We quickly threw it all together, placed it in the freezer and then we headed for the gym. It takes around half an hour to get to my boyfriends gym but let me tell you, it's worth the transportation!
Never have I seen a more luxurious gym! Huge open space with all the newest and most advanced machines. Personal trainers available at all times. Cooled towels with a fresh smell of mint. And the changing rooms / showers... Oh my gosh! It was like a spa!

You are not only provided with clean towels but also amazing shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion from nothing less than Kiehl's
Makeup remover wipes, hairspray, shaving cream and disposable shavers and much more where there for your convenience.

After the gym (so amazing I can't stop going on and on about it) we went to the movies with a couple of my boyfriends friends to see the new Die Hard. It's the fifth one and even though it had some good action scenes in it I wasn't overly impressed.

A few of us went to a thai restaurant in Soho afterwards and I had some lovely roasted duck with some Chinese broccoli. Mmmm!

We took the bus from Piccadilly Circus back to the apartment. Enjoyed a piece of lovely cheesecake and then went to bed, tired from a long but wonderful day.

Paris Nord

Been through the security check and all of the custom boarder controls and now I'm waiting to board my train in a few minutes.
Managed to fool myself into believing that it was departing around 1pm when in fact it's at 12.13. Did double check my ticket in time so it was not a problem.

Don't know what it is but for some reason I have been waking up before my alarm the past week or so. Not that it's a bad thing, in fact it's a good thing cause it makes it easier to get out of bed! It's just that usually that never happens and most certainty not several days in a row.

Picture of some of the eyeshadows the MUA brought. Oh the envy!

Apple and almonds

Came back from my friends place and quickly decided that I wasn't going to do anything I didn't feel like doing. Simply just enjoying myself, relaxing and taking advantage of the fact that it's finally the weekend!
Looked around on youtube a little but my internet connection is poor and I don't always have the patience for the videos to load, so I ended up looking for plane tickets to go home to Denmark to see my family (really miss them). Also spent some time redoing my working time sheet in exel because I found out that we get paid differently from what I thought. (like with the dates and such)

My Friday snacking has been of one apple and a hole lot of almonds. A guilt free pleasure!

See you Sunday

Just talked to my boyfriend and sadly enough he isn't going to have access to any wifi tomorrow as he will be skiing all day and traveling by train all night. This means that we won't be able to talk until when we see each other on Sunday morning. I look forward to it even more now!
Have to admit that when we haven't been together for a while it's really hard with the distance thing..

Weight loss

Since I don't have a scale I can't say how much weight I have lost but in centimeters it's 3 cm around the waist and 2 cm around the hips. This means I'm back to my former measurements (almost) which are 60 cm waist and 90 cm hips!

I have been eating healthy (not starving myself of course) and going to the gym a lot so it's some well deserved results I would say.

I just love love love LCHF! I eat when I'm hungry, I eat until I'm full and yet I can manage to keep the shape I need to have to work in Paris.

I say tomato and you say...

Made myself some lovely lunch!

Yesterday in pictures

Here is some pictures from yesterday, shooting with Sarah Ford.

on my nails: the beautiful "péridot" by Chanel.

The stylist brought lots of jewelry, here is one of the ring I wore.

The first look. Here you can really see the colorful highlight in my hair!

Photo shoot: hair

This will be going in my hair today. Both scared and excited!

Photo shoot: on my way

Called my agency in the morning to get a little more details on the photo shoot for today. Turns out I don't need to bring anything cause there is already a stylist, makeup artist and hair stylist (and a photographer of course).
I'm looking forward to it even more now but I also know that it means it's going to take a lot longer. Makeup and hair is usually two hours and then there is the touch ups in between.
Will be checking the photographers website as soon as I get some 3G to see what kind of thing she is going for but right now I'm on the train so I can't do it.

The location is in the suburbs so I need to take a bus but that shouldn't be any problem.
My only concern is that I'm meeting for dinner with some friends around 9 pm and then we are going out but depending on how long the photo shoot last I'll probably be very tired!

Either way, it's Valentines and they are all single so I'm not abandoning them! Besides, we are gonna have so much fun and it's been a while since I was out last (being sick and all..)

I'll try to keep you posted as I go so keep and eye up for that!

Happy Valentines day

Starting my day with some breakfast and a coffee while trying to figure out exactly what I need to bring with me when leaving the apartment as I probably wont have time to stop by my place again to restock on things. I'm even considering bringing my party clothes for tonight. (I'm going out with a few friends) Thinking about it now I realize I might as well since I'm bringing heels to the photo shoot, so either way I'll have a lot to carry.

Going to take a shower, wash my hair, shave my legs and pluck my eyebrows so the photographer has a "clean canvas" to work with.

Have a happy Valentines day!

Last minute photo test

Another photo test coming up! Only got the email this evening and it's tomorrow at 13.30. Looking forward to it but it also means that I won't be able to finish my shift at Abercrombie. The location is a bit outside of Paris, in the suburbs so I need at least one hour to get there.
This time I'll try to take some pictures for you guys so that my blog can live up to its name;
Your backstage pass.

Long distance relationship

My boyfriend is, as earlier mentioned, skiing in France at the moment but today the reception, wifi and everything weren't working so I only got to make a 5 min phone call at the end of the day to just catch up and hear what he has been doing all day.
That's one thing with long distance relationships. If you for some reason end up in a place with no internet then it's almost impossible to stay in touch! Knowing that we will see each other on Sunday morning makes it a little easier to deal with.

Second french class

Went to my second french class today and it went really well! I'm pleased with myself for actually looking through the paper that we where working on today in advance so everything made a lot more sense.
It's really great to have a french boyfriend cause he can help me when ever there is something I don't understand or need to have translated.
Since I won't be in Paris on Monday (when my next class is) I got the papers that will be used at that time. The plan is to bring it with me to London, and again, get help from my boyfriend!

Happened to bump into my french teacher in the metro on my way home as he (apparently) is living on the same line as me.

WORK IT 13/2

Today at the gym I started by jogging for 30 min. Then I used like a step machine for 15 min, but the motion you make is more like skiing. (really good for your legs and but!)
Afterwards I did some more leg exercises where you press your legs apart and then the one where you press them together. Think I managed to do a total of 250 so I might have a hard time walking tomorrow.
I finished of with some stretching to prevent any unnecessary pain during the next couple of days. I used to always skip that part but I have found out what a difference it makes so it's really worth taking the time to stretch properly.

Company

There is a mouse in my apartment. When I was cooking dinner in the kitchen I saw it run out to bathroom. Closed the door and haven't seen it since. I know it's not going to harm me or anything but I'll definitely be washing my plates and cutlery before using them (just in case the mouse has touched it..)

Ended up not going to see my friend after all since I was done at the gym so late. Will be going on Friday instead. The next hour I'll spend on my French homework and possibly my Religion homework as well if I have the time.

Good night to you all!

10 months

Today my boyfriend and I have been together for 10 months and it feels great!

Cold tea

Made myself a cup of tea before but I was to occupied with homework and facebook and now it's cold and undrinkable..

Heading for the gym in a few minutes. Will be attending a step class for the first time, so that's going to be fun I'm sure!

After that I'm going to see one of my friends who has his 25th birthday today. Won't be able to stay long because I still have some homework left that needs to be done for tomorrow.

Let me roll over

Today I had one of those mornings where you just want to stay in bed..
Did manage to get up eventually but it took a lot of effort!
Now I'm at work, waiting for the store to open and be filled with costumers and loud music.

Monday, 11 February 2013

French

Went straight home after work to meet with my boyfriends mum but she was late and she got lost so she ended up being one and a half hour late, which meant I didn't have time to go to the gym. I'm being measured on Thursday afternoon so I really need to do some workout! So, tomorrow I'll be going for sure.

Now I'm just at home, waiting for an incoming skype call from my boyfriend and then I'm heading out the door to attend my very first French class
Have been telling everyone about it, but I'm just so excited! Really looking forward to learning one more language even though it might take a few months.
Have also considered taking English classes on business level cause I think it would be really useful. It would be every Friday afternoon, and since I normally don't work on Fridays that would suit me very well.

Pretty much sums up my current french vocabulary...

Subtle Sunday

What started out to be a busy Sunday ended up with some change of plans and a good movie.
Originally I was going to work, then going home to meet with my boyfriends mother to get some more things for my apartment. After that I was hitting the gym at Nation and after that I was going to have dinner with one of my friends.
Turned out that my boyfriends mothers car broke down so she couldn't come. I wasn't feeling well enough to go to the gym and my friend got sick as well and cancelled dinner. So in the end I got to just be home, relax and watch a good movie.

Skyped for a little bit with my boyfriend who is skiing and then I watched Paycheck. I really enjoyed it I must say!
Now it's only 7pm so I might eat some dinner and then watch another movie. Perhaps I should get around to reading a little of the book called "Think and grow rich" We'll see how the evening turns out.

Little blue book

Arrived to work early so I sat down and listened to some personal development by Jim Rohn whilst scrabbling away in my notebook. It's a great way to start today. Or any day as a matter of fact! It really gets me motivated for all of the hours I have ahead of me!

Saturday, 9 February 2013

Well done me!

I recently made the decisions that I wanted to become better at finishing things. Small everyday things as well as bigger ones. It happens often that I start something but then never really finishes it which makes me fall behind.
So today I really did a lot of things, completely, and I'm very happy about it!

  • Bought some household supplies as well as pen and notebook for my french class.
  • Did some grocery shopping.
  • Talked on the phone with my entire family in Denmark.
  • Skyped with my mum and my step dad.
  •  Organized all of my papers.
  • Did the dishes.
  • Did my homework.
  • Replied to several emails.
  • Managed to connect to another wifi.
At last I feel like there is not much more I can do today so I'm going to enjoy a cup of hot milk (strange but it has become a habit..), watch some youtube videos, talk to my boyfriend who is currently skiing in Val d'Isere, and then get some sleep!

Handy-man and his wife

Yesterday evening the couple I'm renting the apartment from came by to give me some papers and to fix some of the things that needs to be fixed. The window is now working but it will be changed asap, which I'm very happy about as I can only open one of them at the moment.
One of the light bulbs got changed and it was working for a while but now I just noticed that it's back to blinking again, so I'm guessing it's something with the electric connection.
They took my curtains down to wash them and also fixed the curtain hanger that was falling out of the wall.
My apartment still isn't perfect but I see it more as something charming rather than something bad.

Photo test #5

So yesterday I did another test, this time with an amazing young photographer from Moscow, Russia.
I was told very last minute but luckily enough I could finish my shift at Abercrombie first. So much easier that way since I don't have to hand them all the papers and so on to prove that I'm actually doing a shoot and not just being lazy.
I was out from work at a few minutes past 3pm and I was meeting the photographer at 4pm which means that I was in such a hurry! Managed to make it home, wash my hair, throw my heals in my bag and run out the door.
Arriving five minutes late with wet hair and an empty stomach (which is not so bad when you are taking pictures) I met the photographer and we walked over to the apartment where we where doing the shoot. Quickly changed and then we started.

Did some by a window and then by another window. In the small shower in the bathroom, on the stair in the hallway and last but not least; outside!
It was cold but a lot of fun as I got to jump around, flipping my hair back and forth over and over and over again.

She was super fast so I was back at my apartment by 6pm! (quite impressive if I may say so)

I think I'll get the pictures for my book next week so I'm looking forward to that.
The only thing I know so far is that they'll be in black and white.

8th of February

Had a busy day today and I can't stay awake any longer so I'll tell you about it tomorrow.

An expensive mistake

Made such a bummer this weekend which ended up costing me a lot of money!
I was going home from London with the Eurostar on the 4th of February but ended up not being able to pass security because I had bought a ticket for the 4th of MARCH. Sh*t!!
Since I had to get back to Paris I had no other option than to by a ticket for the next one and that ended up costing me 133 euros!
I could have bought a ticket home for those money! My boyfriend actually offered to pay for it since I can't really afford something like that right now, but I insisted on me paying for it myself. That's the lesson I'll have to learn. An expensive mistake but hopefully I've learned to trippel-check (!!!) the next time I buy any kind of ticket.

Check-in list

Just sent the check-in list to my landlord who is coming by tomorrow to collect the rent for this month as well as have a look on some of the things that needs to be fixed (like the windows and the curtains)
I hope I have managed to get all of the details on pretty much everything. Phew! It was a lot of work, I'm telling you that.. but now it's done and I'm happy I saw it through.
It's definitely something I want to improve; finishing what I start. Even if it's small everyday things. It's so much better and it's the only way to get things out of the way so you don't end up with a bunch of half finished things and "to-do's"

You had me worried there for a sec

So I payed the deposit for my french class, which is starting next week, as soon as I got home from London on Monday. I know it takes a few days for the money to be transferred but having not heard anything from the school yet I started to worry if they had gotten the money at all or if I by accident had transferred the money to some random lucky person?
What a relief it was when I received a formal email today welcoming me to the school and giving me all the information about the class.
Need to buy a notebook for the class, everything else is given to me when I start, but I don't mind cause I'm a huge notebook fanatic... hehe

Shh.. It's our little secret

Today I watched The Secret. It's such a good movie and it always get's me right back on track. Have watched it countless times already, despite my young age, and I will watch it many more times.

There is a ton of personal development but this movie really does the trick for me. I like the visual which you don't get with a book or audio, and it features a lot of great speakers!
Think I'm going to try to put it on my phone so I can watch it when I'm in the metro, on the Eurostar, getting hair and makeup done before a shoot, or just have some random time on my hands.

Party like you mean it

Yesterday I was contacted by a promoter here in Paris. Apparently he got my name from one of the girls I work with at Abercrombie so props to her!

He pretty much wrote to me that they would like to pay for drinks, dinner and club for me because they like the way I look. It's a pretty shallow way to say it but it's how it works. Did just the same thing when I was in London during the summer 2012.

I can't say I'm not going to use the advantages I have and take the offer, cause living the glamorous life everyone dreams of is nice sometimes but although I don't pay for my drinks I'm still reminded that nothing is free.
In London I did have a great time and attended some great parties but sometimes I would find myself being extremely bored with all of the pretty (but oh so pretentious) people surrounding me.

I'll give it a go and I'm sure I'll have some great experiences with these people but not this weekend. This weekend I'm focusing on making up for all of the things I have missed with work and fully recovering!

NO SUGAR & NO CARBS

I have a confession to make. During the last couple of days I haven't been sticking to my LCHF diet. Being sick has left me with little energy and want to take the time to cook so I have been eating bread and even some ice cream while in London.
I know being sick is no excuse for being less determined when it comes to getting what you want.

That said I still want to take a moment to be a little proud of myself for having

NO SUGAR & NO CARBS

durring the entire month of January. Well done me, if I may say so. It haven't been easy and except from that one time I got offered a piece of cake from an Asian man, claiming that it was a very special cake his wife had made... I have stuck with my promise to myself!

Even when going out clubbing, if they had no wine I would have water! (shots doesn't really agree with me and drinks are containing juice and or other sugary liquids. Beer is a huge no no.)

All of the times people looked at me weird and asked me what on earth I was eating, I just turned the other cheek and kept going, knowing that at the end of the day I would be the one with the results of my devotion.

I also want to give huge props to my boyfriends mother who cooked me delicious LCHF meals everyday for two weeks while I was living at her place.

To all of you who supports me, Thank you!
and to those who don't, that's not gonna to stop me.

Drum roll..

My book is ready as I have mentioned earlier and I can't wait to see it! I'm going to the agency tomorrow straight after my work at Abercrombie.
On a side note my agent called me just now asking how I was feeling and when I was stopping by to see the finished result. I have to say I feel really good knowing that my agency cares for me.

So for those of you who doesn't know what I mean exactly when I say a "book" I certainly don't mean one of these! :

It's more like a picture book really. The very best of the pictures from the tests I have been doing over the last couple of months have been printed out and is now ready for me to take to all the castings!
I still haven't seen any of the pictures so I think you can only try to imagine just how excited I am about this!

I'll let you know how it goes!

Send it by express mail, please

In a few minutes I should be receiving call from my love in London, which gives me just enough time to update my blog.

I need to get some things done, emails sent and phone calls made today to try to keep up with everything that's going on around me. Funny that when I'm home in bed, being sick, I feel like time stops but in fact everyone else keeps going on with their busy lives.

One of the things on my list is to get in touch with the Danish church community I was baptized in order to get an original copy of my "birth certificate" that then needs to be sent to Paris, translated into french and then getting an approval stamp at the Danish embassy. All to get further in the process of getting my self a French "social security" card.

It's a long process but it needs to be done so I'm hanging in there!

An urge to create

Yesterday evening I for some reason felt the desire to make my own circle scarf, also known as an infinity scarfs. Don't k know where it came from or if I will go through with it but I like the idea and I have always found it very calming to knit even though I must admit I am no master in this.

Really like the color of these two so I'm considering something down that road.

Recovery

On my way to recovery!
No more fever, no more headache. The only thing my immune system has left to deal with is my throat and it's fighting on. Without a doubt should I be able to leave my apartment and make an attempt on going to work tomorrow morning!

See it from the bright side

Admitted there is a few things I would change if I could, like the fact that I'm sick, but there is also a lot of great things that has been going on lately as well as in the near future!

Things I'm happy about:

  • Had an amazing weekend in London together with my fantastic and lovable boyfriend
  • I managed to find an English speaking doctor (at last..)
  • I'm feeling slightly better and no doubt I'll be fine by Thursday!
  • My book at Metropolitan is finally done so as soon as I get better I'm going there to see it!
  • All the support and help I'm getting from all the people around me including my agency. Thank you!
  • Internet. Don't know what I would do without it!
  • My french lessons for beginners are starting on Monday and I intend on being fluent in 4 languages by the end of this year!

Let's here a big and bright HURRAH for all of the things that's keeping me going right now.

Health insurance

Today I set myself the goal to find out how to get health insurance. I know you are supposed to do that before you get sick, but there is not much I can do about that now.
Spent a long time on the phone with a lot of different people speaking with my messed up voice.

I have realized that this is one of the many things I just need to deal with myself and I think knowing that made me do it. Weather I wanted to or not it needed to be done and when I had talked to everyone I felt so good with myself. Proud that I didn't just deal with it later.
That said I did fall asleep almost immediately after and slept on for a few hours which has helped a great deal. Feeling a tad better and I'm still planning on going back to work on Thursday. I have to to be able to make my 20 hours. It means that I will be working all weekend as well but I don't really mind that as long as I can manage to do five hours a day. If I'm not up and running by Thursday I'll have to do at least one 10 hour shift and those are just never nice are they?

S.I.C.K.

Sorry for not updating but I have been (and still am currently..) sick.
Took the eurostar back to Paris in the morning even though I would have given half my kingdom (if I had one) to stay in bed with my boyfriend and just sleep! Got back with the intention of going to work but quickly discovered that that wasn't going to happen. Here is the deal. If I'm sick I need a doctor to prove that I'm sick. Abercrombie Paris won't just take my word for it which was the case in London..
Having to make up for the time I missed last time I was sick I figured I'd better not make the same mistake again. So I decided to find a doctor! An English speaking one preferably. After wondering around for an hour talking to various people and pharmacists, getting nothing but rejection and "I don't speak a single word of English" I was ready to just sit down and cry over having to deal with this.

Luckily for me I have both friend and boyfriend ready to help so I went home to bed and got in touch. After talking to them, calling Abercrombie, my booker at metropolitan and the freaking SOS line (which by the way was crashed) I had still not managed to find neither a doctor or someone who knew a doctor I could go to. My best shot was to just walk down on the street, find a pharmacy and start asking. So with a french note that my boyfriend wrote asking like "Can you please direct my to a local doctor".
And what do you know, the first pharmacy I walk into I get directed to a doctor who is located right around the corner. And he even spoke English. I'll be damned!

Did have to wait for two hours but apparently there is a lot of sick people in Paris around this time of year so that was the reason for that!
The doctor examined my throat and told me I had a pretty bad infection but that it should pass in a couple of days. If the fever returns I need to go back but I doubt it will. Ended up paying only 23 euros for the visit (which isn't much since I have no french benefits or health insurance) and only like three or four euros for the medicine! Got to love France when it comes to the price of these kinds of things!

My Friday

Woke up early in the morning when my boyfriend was leaving from work and I never managed to fall asleep again after that. He came back to the apartment a while later to have lunch with me which was really nice and after that I took the bus to Piccadilly circus. I have to say it's surreal to drive down on oxford street and regent street and I was thinking back to the time when I used to live here. I felt like I was in a movie or something but tried to take as much of it in as possible. Walked into the HSBC on Regent street to pick up my new card. A few changes has been made with my UK account so I no longer pay a crazy fee for a card I rarely use. I totally forgot to ask about the internet banking (just realized that..) so I might have to go back tomorrow if they are open.

After that I went to the movies to see Life of Pi. Amazing. I really enjoyed it and it was absolutely beautiful, in 3D and everything. When the movie was done I headed back to the apartment by bus but got of a few stops before I was supposed to, simply because I felt like it. Enjoyed casually strolling down Oxford street while being shuffled and pushed by all of the busy people. Oh the big cities in Europe. So fascinating. I can not wait to experience New York, L.A. and all of the great big cities in Asia.

Had a simple dinner with my boyfriend. Yes, I'm mentioning him a lot but he means the world to me and when we finally see each other I like to make it count.
He left half an hour ago to meet some of his friends at the pub for a beer but I decided to stay in and give you guys an update!

The classic, dinner and movies

If you read my last couple of post you know I am currently in London to visit my boyfriend. When ever we see each other after two weeks apart I forget about everything else (like updating my blog) and just enjoy spending my time with him.

Yesterday we had ourselves a little date. We actually go to the movies and have dinner quite often but it feels a bit more special this way. (silly me!)

I cooked a nice LCHF dinner which we both really enjoyed. Even managed to make an LCHF desert which was absolutely delicious! big hit, I'm telling you.
After dinner we went to Piccadilly circus with the intention of watching Lincoln but it turned out they weren't showing that there so we ended up watching Argo.

It was such an amazing movie and the fact that it's based on a true story makes it even better. I understand why it's winning so much prices and I think they will even be going for an Oscars award for best movie. If you have the chance, check it out cause it's definitely worth seeing!
